FRAME Aesthetics was founded on the conviction that exceptional aesthetic and wellness care should feel deeply personal, intentionally delivered, and genuinely welcoming. As a physician-led practice, FRAME brings together clinical expertise, individualized strategy, and a highly considered patient experience to help people feel more confident, more vital, and more at home in their bodies.
Our philosophy is one of restraint, refinement, and intention. We believe aesthetic care should enhance rather than alter, preserving the individuality of each person while allowing them to present as the most assured version of themselves. Every element of FRAME—from the environment and language to the consultation experience and treatment methodology—has been deliberately shaped to feel sophisticated without pretense, clinically rigorous without austerity, and elevated without sacrificing warmth.
FRAME serves a broad community of professionals, creatives, men, women, and individuals who may not have previously seen themselves reflected in traditional aesthetic and wellness settings. We have been especially intentional in welcoming Black and Brown clients, masculine-presenting individuals, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and others who have historically remained less visible within the industry. At FRAME, representation is not positioned as a separate initiative; it is woven naturally into our culture, our standard of care, and our understanding of excellence.
Our work extends well beyond conventional aesthetics. Through injectable treatments, advanced skin care, weight optimization, hormone and peptide programs, and longevity-focused wellness services, FRAME helps clients make thoughtful investments in their health, confidence, and future well-being. We define this as building Biologic Wealth™: cultivating the health, vitality, resilience, and self-assurance that allow individuals to live more fully over time.
Education and transparency are foundational to the FRAME experience. We take the time to understand each client’s goals, explain the available options with clarity, and develop strategies that are medically sound and distinctly personal. Rather than encouraging the pursuit of fleeting trends or prescribed ideals, we guide clients toward informed decisions that align with how they wish to look, feel, and live.
My purpose in creating FRAME is deeply personal. As a Black physician, surgeon, entrepreneur, and member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand the significance of entering a healthcare or wellness environment and feeling recognized, respected, and understood. I also understand what it means to move through spaces in which identity can shape whether one feels welcomed, represented, or fully seen. FRAME is my response to that experience: a destination where clinical distinction, cultural intelligence, discretion, and genuine hospitality are regarded as inseparable elements of exceptional care.
That vision is strengthened by the leadership of my mother, Dr. Margaret Larkins-Pettigrew, who serves as FRAME’s Co-Medical Director. As a veteran, physician, surgeon, healthcare executive, strategist, and nationally recognized leader in health equity, she brings a lifetime of service, discipline, and systems-level thinking to the practice. Her experience has been instrumental in shaping and refining FRAME’s wellness arm, ensuring that its growth remains clinically grounded, thoughtfully structured, and responsive to the broader dimensions of health, longevity, and community well-being.
Her service as a veteran and my lived experience as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community bring distinct but complementary perspectives to FRAME’s leadership. Together, we understand the importance of trust, representation, and receiving care in an environment that respects the whole person. Those perspectives do not sit at the margins of the business; they inform how FRAME was conceived, how we lead, and how we define meaningful access.
Our combined leadership reflects multiple generations of medicine, service, strategy, advocacy, and entrepreneurship. It also makes FRAME a veteran-, woman-, LGBTQIA+-, minority-, and Black-owned practice. As Pittsburgh’s only Black-owned, physician-led aesthetics and wellness practice, FRAME represents both a meaningful distinction within the local market and a visible expansion of who can lead, shape, and feel at home within this industry.
Our investment in the community will deepen as FRAME continues to grow. Our long-term vision includes educational programming, thoughtfully curated wellness experiences, strategic community partnerships, and mentorship opportunities for students and emerging professionals interested in medicine, aesthetics, wellness, and entrepreneurship. Through this work, we aim to broaden exposure to fields in which representation remains limited and create more visible pathways for the generation that follows.
FRAME Aesthetics is more than a traditional medical aesthetics practice. It is a physician-led aesthetics and wellness brand founded upon refinement, trust, and belonging. By expanding the understanding of whom aesthetic and longevity care can serve—and who can lead within these spaces—FRAME is establishing a more considered, representative, and contemporary standard of care. It is a standard that strengthens individual confidence, advances Biologic Wealth™, and contributes meaningfully to the health and vitality of the community around us.
